

Alpha Tango Architecture Limited was established in 2018 by Alasdair Tooze to pursue projects which will have a direct benefit to those commissioning them and their communities. The primarily of the practice is improving lives through design excellence. This is either achieved through the careful and considered repair and renovation of existing buildings in a sustainable and economic way or well crafted and environmentally sustainable low energy new build designs.
Alasdair is an ARB registered architect and a Chartered member of RIAS and RIBA, he has in excess of twenty five years experience across a wide range of sectors, from large public buildings and commercial developments to small art installations and private residences.
For over twenty years Alasdair worked for Hoskins Architects and was a key contributor and Lead Architect on some of their most significant award winning projects, such as; The RIBA/V&A Architecture for All Gallery, The National Museum Scotland, Aberdeen Art Gallery, The Registers Development, AC Hotel Glasgow, The Lawlor House, The Ball House and Marionville Court Care Home.
Alasdair has RIAS Accreditation in Conservation Architecture having spent many years working with a range of traditional buildings and heritage clients, and has a qualification in Energy Efficiency in Older and Traditional Buildings (pre-1919) which reinforces expertise and knowledge in fully understand the complexities in retrofitting, renovating and upgrading existing traditional buildings for contemporary uses.
Alasdair also tutors students at the University of Strathclyde in the Architecture and Building Science department as a Studio Design Tutor for over 17 years.
